The Great Bacon Odyssey
So I just saw this today, and I thought it’d be an excellent follow up to my previous woven bacon submission. I am very anxious to try this, as it appears to have a paltry prep and execution time compared to the Bacon Explosion with a possibly higher (whoa!) reward-to-effort ratio. I already see room for improvement on the foundation, as well. I can see a myriad of seasoning options for the ground beef, itself. You could have a heyday with it, depending on the flavor of your bacon and how you wanted to play off of it.
I actually love making burgers with Lipton onion soup mix and Worcestershire sauce. The catch is that the worc’ sauce compromises the cohesive integrity of the burger and it wants to fall apart on the grill. Oh, what is a grill junkie to do!? WRAP THAT MOTHERF$#%&R IN BACON, apparently! It was so OBVIOUS! It’d require some sort of barrier on the grill, I’d imagine. A few layers of foil or something to keep the bacon on the bottom from burning while the rest came up to temp. It should be good, though. I’ll keep folks updated once I have a chance to put it to the test.
