4 Cheese Mac with Bacon and Apples

I had a concept for a bacon apple pasta salad with cheese. On hot summer nights, I love making a meal out of Fuji or Honeycrisp apples and assorted cheeses on crackers paired with a chilled sweet white wine like a local Washington riesling or gewurztraminer. I thought to myself, bacon would make this better (as it would most things). I was thinking some sort of chilled pasta salad with all of the above in it. As I was surfing for ideas to flesh out my concept, I came across this recipe and almost drowned in my own saliva like a gawking turkey in an Atlanta flash-rainstorm. I am still going to push forward with my own idea, but in the meantime, I am jonesing to try this!
