Loaded Bacon Cheddar Bread

In my¬†spare time, I love to make bread. I’m lazy, so I use a¬†bread maker¬†which just mashes everything into a pulp. There’s something to be said about making bread from scratch, by hand and savoring the real taste of bacon and cheeeeeeeeeeeese. Yum.

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups all purpose flour
  • 3¬ľ cups warm water
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2¬ĺ cup cheddar cheese, fresh grated not bagged
  • 10 strips cooked thick cut bacon, chopped and divided
  • fresh ground black pepper to taste

Again, this is exactly what BaconScotch is all about. Bacon, bourbon (which is similar to scotch) and chicken. Can it get any better? Love it!

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces barbeque sauce
  • 1/4 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4-5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1‚ÄĚx1‚ÄĚ pieces
  • 2¬†teaspoons¬†kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh black pepper
  • ¬ľ cup¬†sweet paprika
  • 3 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 6¬†slices¬†bacon , cut into small pieces
  • 8-10¬†12-inch wooden¬†skewers (soaked in water for an hour)

Ingredients

  • French Toast Cupcakes: ¬ĺ cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1¬Ĺ cups cake flour, sifted
  • 1¬Ĺ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¬ľ teaspoon salt
  • ¬Ĺ cup milk, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • Maple Buttercream Frosting: 2 Sticks butter, softened
  • 2¬ĺ cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons heavy cream, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract

I love it when I run across website’s like Jackie’s. The infusion of beer and cooking – it just doesn’t get any better. This reminds me of a take of a pecan pie – but with BACON! You’ll have to check it out.

Ingredients:

For The Crust:
  • 1 stick plus 2 tbs (10 tbs) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 2tbs of water
For the Filling:
  • 1 cup of stout
  • 1 stick of ¬†butter
  • 2 cups of chopped pecan
  • 2 cups of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped

Looks sloppy, but I’m sure this tastes amazing. Wasn’t sure how to¬†categorize¬†this, so I put this on into both breakfast and lunch. Boom! Enjoy!
