Bacon Bourbon BBQ Chicken Kebabs

Again, this is exactly what BaconScotch is all about. Bacon, bourbon (which is similar to scotch) and chicken. Can it get any better? Love it!

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces barbeque sauce
  • 1/4 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4-5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1”x1” pieces
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh black pepper
  • ¼ cup sweet paprika
  • 3 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 6 slices bacon , cut into small pieces
  • 8-10 12-inch wooden skewers (soaked in water for an hour)

1 Roll of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls & its included Frosting!

1/2 Pound of Bacon (I started with an entire pound and sliced it in half for short strips)

1/4 Cup Maple Syrup

1/4 Cup Cinnamon/Sugar mixed

Oil for frying

6 slices of Nueske’s bacon, cooked and crumbled
3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Cracked black pepper, to taste

Heading out to a Superbowl party and need a app to pass? There have been a lot of posts on bacon-wrapped peppers, but these are filled with cream cheese. Easy enough to prepare  these are sure be a hit! FYI > Be sure to pre-cook the bacon, then wrap everything before cooking a few more minutes. Otherwise you’ll have a melted cheesy mess on your hands. Cheers.

4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 Avocado
Juice of half a lime
1/4 tsp ground cumin

Similar to a Chicken Wellington, these snack-sized portions are amazing. Chicken infused with bacon, wrapped in puff pastry. Turn on the oven and invite your friends!

120g (about 2) brown onions, finely chopped
